It's been awhile...!

Well I've successfully let the entire month of April go by without really posting any new blogs or exciting information! But I am here today to say May is a NEW beginning and you should expect to see some great postings in the common weeks!

The goal of the this "blog" in the first place is to create an avenue for wine lovers in the Ozarks (and really anywhere else) to come together and have a place to speak about wine, tell others of great new finds or wines that were hyped yet fell short of the hype! Having said all of that I have to say...I haven't followed through with that goal...but today is the beginning of something NEW! So each week look for a NEW blog posting with great "wine talk", whether it be about new wines, regions or just wine news in general. And I encourage you to share your thoughts, opinions and views on anything and everything I write about. After all this is a place to educate, share and talk about VINO!

So a quick little post on some of my current favorites wine-wise...and why they are! (And I must admit I'm getting into a "white phase" again, although several of my favs are red. Enjoy...tell me about your favorites!

Capestrano Montepulciano d'Abruzzo ~ Just a great everyday, all occasion wine! Beautiful aromas of black cherry, blueberry and plum go with a soft style that is oh so enjoyable! Pop the Cork today!

Spann Vineyards Betsy's Backacher Red ~ Now we've carried this wine for a little over a month now and I was super excited when we brought this wine in but I was told only a few cases remained...so I didn't push it. Well...things have changed....next month we've got wine grower Peter Spann coming to Vino 100! Watch for more details as we tell you more and more about the wonderful wines of Spann Vineyards!

Boom Boom Syrah ~ Okay yes the name is a little funny but the wine is amazing...trust me on this one! Charles Smith knows what he's doing!

Kanu Sauvignon Blanc ~ I'm a huge South African wine fan and an even bigger Sauvignon Blanc fan...so this wine is one of my all time favs! Nice attributes you'd expect from Sauvignon Blanc with a twist...a little bit of a zesty finish. Trust me this wine is perfect for that spring afternoon on the porch!.

Okay so there are some of my "favs"...what are yours? Talk to ya next week......

If it's a Moscato then I love it! One of my favorites is Saracco. I want to try the Capestrano Montepulciano d'Abruzzo you mentioned it sounds great, do you carry it in the store?

Thanks,
